ABOUT ME

I am an  accredited Psychotherapist by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have an AdvDip in Cognitive Behavioral Studies and Skills, and a BPS accredited degree in Psychology. I have worked in both community and clinical inpatient settings so have experience working with people with a wide range of issues and needs, particularly with working with people with eating disorders.

I am trained from an Integrative approach, meaning I draw on techniques from multiple theoretical approaches and integrate them in a way that suits each individual. The three main approaches I use are Cognitive Behaviour Theory, Attachment Theory and Person-Centered Theory.

Alongside my private practice, I have worked on an inpatient Eating Disorder wards, spent some time working with amputees and people with limb differences within the NHS, and now work for an NHS community eating disorder service.

I attend regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) workshops to keep my knowledge and skills up to date and I meet regularly with my supervisor to support and review my work.
