FAQ

Some common questions you may have.

I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received over my career. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch- I will be happy to assist you.

WHAT APPROACHES WILL BE USED?

As an intergrative therapist, I use my training in Cognitive Behavioural Theory, Attachment Theory and Person-Centered Theory. For more information about this please feel free to contact me using the contact form

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED TO CANCEL A SESSION?

This process will have been agreed between us during our first session- To cancel a session please contact me 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel after 24 hours, you may still have to pay for that session.

WHAT WILL BE THE STRUCTURE OF THERAPY?

We will initially meet for a consultation session. This will involve introductions and an assessment, where we can look at your presenting issues and what you would like to achieve from therapy. This session can also be used to answer any specific questions you might have about therapy. I will also give you a contract explaining what to expect from me, what is expected from you, the client, and the confidentiality policy. You can take this away with you so you have time and space to decide if you would like to continue with therapy. If you decide to continue we will meet again to develop specific goals for therapy and an initial plan for our sessions.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?

Each session will be 50 minutes.
